Speaker: Jerry Mabe, Co-Founding President and CEO, RightPath, Resources Inc.

Leadership is changing more significantly now than it has in any time for the last three generations. Because of generational changes (the retirement of Baby Boomers) companies are facing a major challenge to recruit, retain and hire top talent to fill the coming leadership vacuum. Yet, most companies are woefully unprepared for these changes. Nearly two-thirds of Fortune 1000 companies believe they face near-term skilled labor shortages, yet 68 percent of employers have not analyzed their workforce demographics and 50 percent do not track the percentage of employees eligible to retire within two years.

A new approach to leadership is needed to address these challenges. Individuals and companies that intentionally build skills in the areas of (1) Results, (2) Relationships, (3) Developing Others, (4) Trust and (5) Emotional Intelligence will be better positioned to compete (and win) in an increasingly competitive environment. Not only do the principles of the Five Dimensional Leader improve organizational performance and engagement now, but they help build a bench of emerging leaders who are ready to take new leadership roles as the Baby Boomer generation retires.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore how companies can face the upcoming generational shift by building a culture of leadership development with a focus on the 5 dimensions of leadership.
  • Examine the behavioral basis for each of the 5 dimensions and the tools to measure them
