Registration/General Questions


Can you describe what you mean by a virtual conference?
A virtual conference is an event that you can attend from the comfort and convenience of your home, office, or wherever else you can think of, through your personal computer or mobile device. But, this will not be just a fancy webinar! We’ve chosen a fabulous platform that prioritizes connection, interaction, and face-to-face (video) networking with other attendees, speakers and exhibitors.

What is the cost of the virtual event?
The current price of registration can be viewed on the Registration page.

What is the cancellation policy?
Please view our Cancellation Policy on the bottom of the Registration page for the most up-to-date information.

Is REAL HR replacing SOAHR?
No, REAL HR is not replacing SOAHR (our larger conference that is traditionally held in March). Due to the pandemic we have decided to swap these events in the calendar, with plans to hold SOAHR in August of 2021.

Session Questions


Will I have access to all sessions?
Yes! Similar to if you were attending the conference in-person, you will be given the opportunity to select which Live sessions you’d like to virtually attend. It is up to you to decide which sessions interest you in a given time block and to attend those sessions as desired. REAL HR offers 9 Live sessions and 12 OnDemand sessions. You may attend as many or as few sessions as you want.

Will I be able to access sessions after the conference is over?

Yes, sessions will be available on-demand for 30 days after the conference. This includes both replays of the Live sessions, as well as all OnDemand sessions.

Can I ask questions/interact with speakers at SOAHR Virtual?
Yes, just like at an in-person conference, speakers at Live sessions will be available during their scheduled session time so you can ask questions and interact with both the speaker and others attending the session.

Will I be able to see the speakers during each session?
Yes! Each session features a video component so you can speaker during their presentation.

Virtual Conference Questions


What features will the Virtual Conference Platform include?
Tons of features! Video networking with other attendees, chat rooms, live sessions with top-notch speakers, on-demand access to additional sessions, and more.

Can I interact with other attendees at REAL HR?
Yes, through a variety of ways: 1-1 video conferencing, group chat (for different topics), and Q&A chat in each session. This is a great reason to be sure you attend the conference on the actual dates (instead of watching everything on-demand later) – these are the days when other attendees, speakers and exhibitors will be online so you can ‘meet’ the most people.

How do I get recertification credit codes?
Recertification credit codes will be provided at the end of each session, as well as sent in an email following the event.

When will I receive information to access the virtual platform?
Login and access information will be sent to all registered attendees a few days before the conference so you have ample time to login, poke around, build your profile and schedule, and get to know the platform.

I’m not tech-savvy; are there tools/resources to help me navigate a virtual conference?
Yes! We will offer info and a help desk on the day of the conference to help you understand how to best use and navigate the platform.

Are there any special device or bandwidth requirements for me to engage in REAL HR?
To participate, you need an Internet connection and web browser. We recommend hi-speed internet for the best viewing experience. We also recommend that you join the conference using a supported internet browser, which includes Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Internet Explorer is not recommended.
